Terminator 3: eh, it's okay!

I went to see what I can only hope is the last of the Terminator series of movies. Don't get me wrong, the movie was good but you can tell it was a last ditch attempt to squeeze an official ending to the movie line. The movie was packed full of shoot'em up and explosions. The CGI was just as good as the others before it, but the story was a little lacking. The movie flow was just to fast, it just moved from one explosion to another with little bit of story line in between.

So I'll just sit back and wait for the DVD set pack to come out and then just buy that for my collection. Now if that darned Starwars would hurry up so I can buy the whole 6 series in one mondo pack from Lucas. Now that would be cool!!

Off To Miami I Go! Whoohoo

Well after being a PhotoShop Professional member for three years I'm finally going to be able to attend the 3 day seminar in Miami Beach this year. I got a good ole student discount for being a full time student so I could just barely afford to slip the cost in to the budget. Three days of learning Photoshop tutorials and tips from some of the worlds top professionals.

If you or anyone you know wanna go it is well worth the cost. Just go to Photo Shop World and register so you can attend the number one event on the East Coast for users of Adobe Photoshop.

League of Extraordinary Men

We went to see League of Extraordinary Men tonight, and I must say it was pretty darn good. Although there was a woman in the League, they still called it League of Extraordinary Men. I guess maybe because the woman kicked butt just as good as the men maybe, or its just Hollywood being sexist again. Wait, what do I care, I'm a guy. Anyways, the movie was action packed and full of special effects. Sean Connery still can kick some movie butt at his ripe old age. Captain Nemo's ship looks even better than ever before, and Mr. Hyde is one big bad dude!

I would definitely recommend seeing this movie, or just wait for DVD and then watch it. You can't go wrong which ever you do. Just make sure you see this movie at some point. This movie is kinda like all the library book novel heros coming together to kick some butt. Kind of like an X-Men movie or something, but not comic book heros.

I do hope to see Terminator:3 this weekend also, since I didn't make the show time tonight for it. I want to see it on the big screen. Terminator movies always have nice sound effects and loud explosions. So what better place to view, feel, and experience this effect if you don't have a totally setup home theatre? You have to go get a seat at the movies to have those kind of great experiences. So that's where I'll be this weekend at some point in time.

Case Mod

I finally finished the cut out alien design on one of my computers. I used a dremel to cut out the design I made on the front of the case. I also cut a direct hole through the metal of the case to increase air flow and to reduce the noise level of air whooshing through the pin holes they had cut in the case.

Alien Cutout Alien Cutout

I mounted the Antec Blue LED fan between the case cover and the metal, I blacked the center of the fan with a permanent marker to make it look like eyes of the alien. I also have a blue cold cathode tube running inside the case which helps the blue light look brighter. The case now has more air flow, it is quieter, and it looks cool.

I will have to look for a smoother cutting tool for the dremel as the bit I used didn't cut very smoothly. I need a better cutting, lower RPM bit, so the plastic doesn't melt so readily while I'm cutting out the design. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

Glowing Goldfish

Green Neon Glowing Zebra Fish, scientists are developing weird stuff these days. I will have to check these out when they go on sale in the United States, sometime in August. They have green glowing ones and soon to come out red glowing ones. They say it has to be really dark to see them, or you can turn on a UV light (a.k.a blacklight) to make them more visible, apparently.

Wow you say, well now scientists have made Green Glowing Mice also. I'm not sure where this will all end. Whats next, a glow in the dark dog, cat, or hamster maybe?

Final Exams cause students brain to explode!

No, not really, but I'll tell you something. Whoever the genius was that thought of taking a math exam at 0730 on a Saturday morning, needs to be flogged. I studied so much for that math exam I though my brains were going to explode out of my head from the mass influx of cramming.

So I get to the school on time and they gave a big speech all week about being to the test on time or the doors will be shut and locked and you can't get in if your late. What time does the test proctors open the doors? They opened them a little after 0800, I could have stopped by McDonald's and had time to get me a McGriddle sandwich. I'm all ready for the test and I opened the exam booklet to the first page, and I heard a whoosh sound like a toilet as my brain flushed all memory to anything related to math. I was bubbling until the final second when the teacher said put down your pencils.

All of us stayed behind and waited for our scores, he said I passed and I bolted outta before he realized he just told me I passed. Now on to more math next week for the fall term. When will this endlessly viscious cycle of math stop, it will stop when I reach that dreaded Calc I class. Now I must go rest my brain, all this thinking hurts.

Final Destination II DVD is out!

If you enjoyed the first one, then you will absolutely get a kick out of the second one. Always with the freaky death scenes and sudden jump out of your chair moments. This movie is a must rent. Nuff said, now go rent it!

SOLARIS DVD is out

Okay, I'll admit I'm the first to say that this movie is a little weird. It was supposedly a remake of an old movie which was based off of some book. The movie is a, well, I don't know quite frankly what to say. I know this though, it was decent in the fact that in the end I had my own revolation to the meaning of it all. I guess that is the most important thing for any movie, the fact you can understand the meaning of it all in the end, or at least your own interpretation of it.
