Truck gets all Red Inside

I finally got most of my parts for my truck to replace the entire interior from a 91 blazer donor. All colors match, the seats look like new. The are so nice a plush unlike my worn out pieces I have in the truck now. The ole girl is getting new rubber meats all the way around. I decided to go with the BFG All-Terrain KO's in a 32x11.50R15 size. I ordered a new Autometer Tachometer to monitor the engine performance. New springs for the front are also on the way to help replace the slightly warped front ones that are on there right now.

The truck is coming together very nicely with all the new pieces. Hopefully next year she will get a new GM crate motor unless I figure out a way to get a nice donor TPI engine from a Corvette or Trans Am. But I'll just go for the factory crate motor. Simple, easy, and dependable which is just the way I like my truck since it is my only means of transportation at the moment. I'll be posting some pictures of the things I'm replacing so all my buddies at ColoradoK5 can compare pics. Okay, back to shopping for a transmission temperature gage for the truck. I need to keep an eye on those temps, wouldn't want any kind of viscosity break down occurring. Heat + Time = Short transmission life, which is a very bad thing!

Matrix:Revolutions

So we went to watch Matrix: Revolutions on Sunday, despite what the critics were saying, we ventured forth anyways. I enjoyed the movie and even my other half who doesn't even care about the Matrix trilogy, she enjoyed the movie as well. I will admit that the action is not as heated as Reloaded, but it did have a nice even flow to it. I would suggest you see it in the theatre unless you don't mind waiting to watch it on DVD when it comes out.

So to hell with those stupid movie critics, I will give this movie a true movie going person rating! So here it is!

Mav2u's Movie Rating for The Matrix: Revolutions

   B+

Beer, Hot Wings, and Sports....

Nothing is better than going to a restaurant, eating Hot Wing and drinking beer. Unless its also topped off with a room filled with every single sports channel known to mankind. Now that's what I call a good restaurant, especially when they have cute waitresses. ;-) We took my friend out tonight for his birthday and had a good time. Beef'O Brady's is the best eats in town for this kind of consumable goods, this is for sure! Plus it always helps to know the waitresses so they slip you free pitchers of beer!!! Yum, Yum.... MMMMM....Beeerrrrrrr

That is all, time to recover from all the Hot Wings that I consumed tonight. Now where is the Tums??

Cool, Calm, and Collective....

Finally the winter temps are upon us! I think it must have been in the mid to high 70's today and in the low 60's tonight. Ah, the weather really feels good, no more sweltering heat, finally I can wear something other than shorts and t-shirts without sweating my brains out the very moment I walk out the front door and away from the air-conditioned habitat. So, until mid to late March these temps will be quite nice and enjoyable by myself for sure.

Now I need only to find out where I put those winter coats I bought last year, so I can finally get a chance to wear them. I know I probably will when we visit South Carolina later this month to go camping. I do believe it is already a might bit on the chilly side there right now. No snow though thankfully, I don't do snow anymore unless I can ski on it or ride a snowmobile across it.

Casa de Mav2u is being built......FINALLY!!

Finally after a whole lot of heehawing around with the builder we are finally ready to start pouring some cement on the house foundation. Well, not just yet, but it will be started in the next week or so hopefully, weather permitting that is. It has started raining again for some reason or other and I hope it will stop soon so the temp. will cool off along with the humidity. It's Nov. and the blasted temp. is still in the 90's.

With construction being delayed for 3 weeks do to a incorrect drawing by the builders, that will put our house completion date about late Feb. or early Mar. I can't wait to finally have a garage again to work on my truck and other manly stuff. Condo living is for old people who don't like doing anything outdoors. When they finally start some interesting construction I'll post some pictures of the work in progress.
